Beth A. Mohr has over 20 year of investigative experience, both sworn and civilian.  Ms. Mohr is a retired San Diego Police Officer; during her career she was awarded three Commanding Officers Citations for investigative excellence.

Ms. Mohr is a former Investigator for the Whatcom County Public Defender's Office in Bellingham, Washington.  Her experience there includes conducting homicide and death penalty mitigation investigations. She was also able to work extensively with the Lummi and Nooksack native peoples.

In Albuquerque, Ms. Mohr investigated allegations of Fair Housing violations and discrimination on behalf of the Legal Aid Society of Albuquerque.  Her investigations resulted in a $96,000 settlement; the largest Fair Housing award in the State of New Mexico at that time.  Her investigations also included developing a pattern and practice case which was later addressed by the Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division.  Ms Mohr also contracted to provide investigative assistance and training for Protection and Advocacy Inc.

Ms. Mohr most recently served as an Investigator for the City of Albuquerque's Independent Review Office, where she investigated allegations of police misconduct involving the Albuquerque Police Department.  Her notable cases include being the sole investigator of citizen complaints against the Albuquerque Police Department's response to the 2003 war protests; virtually all of her recommendations in those cases were accepted and implemented by APD.  She also investigated the APD Evidence Room case, alongside Special Investigators Ann Steinmetz and Bill Riordan.

Ms. Mohr is a member of the International City/County Management Association (ICMA), and serves as a member of the ICMA Advisory Board on Graduate Education.  She also serves as a Peer Reviewer for the National Association for Schools of Public Affairs and Administration. 

She is also a member of National Association for Civilian Oversight of Law Enforcement (NACOLE).  Ms. Mohr is an Associate Member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.  Ms. Mohr has presented research papers, by invitation, at conferences for both NACOLE and the International Association for Science, Technology & Society.  She has published in the peer-reviewed journal The Bulletin of Science, Technology & Society.

Ms. Mohr has a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of New Mexico.
